  • Glands controlling testicular function problems

    The factors that result in this problem are as follows:

    • Delayed puberty
    • Low levels of LH and FSH
    • Kallman’s syndrome
    • Abnormal functioning of pituitary and hypothalamic glands
    • Hyperprolactinemia

Measurements of these hormones such as LH, FSH, Prolactin and testosterone can diagnose the disorder.

  • Testicular disorders

    Few reasons that can cause these disorders are as follows:

    • Idiopathic
    • Chromosomal
    • Congenital
    • Varicocele
    • Cryptorchidism
    • Trauma
    • Infection
    • Medication
    • Chemotherapy
    • Idiopathic
    • Tumors
  • Epididymis, prostate and seminal vesical problems
    • Congenital causes

Vas aplasia, malformation of caudal epididymis and destruction of seminal vesicles lead to this problem

  • Infectious epididymal obstruction

Few microorganisms that cause infections are trachoma, staph, gonorrhea tuberculosis and Chlamydia

  • Vasectomy

A male contraception procedure in which a cut in seminal ducts is made, which leads to male infertility

  • Coital disorders

    • Few factors that damages the erection nerves such as surgery, injury or any disease
    • Impotence or erectile dysfunction caused to improper blood flow to penis
    • Chronic diseases such as liver or kidney failure, and diabetes
  • Abnormal semen

Abnormal semen has problems in head or tail ends such as large or misshapen head or a two tails, etc. These problems may affect the sperm ability to reach and enter into the egg as well. Semen analysis comprise of semen volume, sperm number, sperm concentration and movement analysis.
