The first is antihistamine, which is normally found over the counter, and which can affect the runny nose, the itching, the problems in the eyes and such symptoms.

However, they won’t be able to treat the kind of internal pressure that one feels, opines, Dr. Karen Demuth. There are intranasal steroid sprays, which she recommends for everyday use. There are also sprays and nasal and eye drops that can be used for treating symptoms of allergy.

If all these do not work, then, there is the option of immunotherapy. A person has an allergy when their body dislikes something and grows a reaction to it. In immunotherapy, calculated shots are given, so that after a period the body learns to overlook that specific thing. It takes 3 to 5 years, but it is very effective. Then there are also neti pots, containing salt water to wash the nose with. For congestion and pressure neti pots are probably the best methods. They also work even if it is not an allergy.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
