Ayurvedic Treatment and Home Remedies for Low Platelet Count

Low platelet count can be caused due to many reasons including dengue fever, malaria, bone marrow depression, chemotherapy procedures, ITPs, certain medications and painkillers and many others. In Ayurveda, a nutritive diet is recommended along with herbs to increase the platelet count.

The best Ayurvedic treatment for low platelet count are papaya or carica leaves. Taking 20-30 leaves juice can help boost the platelet count. Many companies are making extracts and capsules of these leaves for this problem. One can have papaya leaves and juices for about 2-3 months regularly for the best results.

There are many other Ayurvedic herbs and remedies too which can be taken to increase the platelet count. One can take giloy leaves and wheatgrass as well. All green vegetables are rich in natural antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and other nutrients and can help restore platelet count.
