The rate at which your hair grows depends upon your genes. But on an average the hair grows at a rate of about 0.45 mm per day that is 1.35 cm per month. Besides this, some of the other factors which effect rate of growth are nutrition, hormones and environment.

It is important for all of us to check whether we have any vitamin deficiencies. Most of us have one or two of such deficiencies which can be checked through a blood test. Hormonal imbalances can easily lead to hair loss rather than slow hair growth. Women must get PCOS checked because if this is treated, hair can grow at a rapid rate.

Among men, hair loss can also be caused due to androgenetic alopecia which can be treated to improve hair growth. This is a genetic problem and can be a little difficult to treat. Some environment factors that can cause hair loss include pollution, bad hair care, trauma and others. Thus it is important to wash hair regularly, oil them regularly, and get hair trimmings done every few months and maintaining proper nutrition levels.  You must treat your hair with love and follow a good lifestyle for them to grow!!
