It is important to note that there are two kinds of bus travels-one is the case of travelling by bus within the city or locally and the other case is of taking long bus rides or trips outside the city/town. While it is safe to travel by bus locally, it may be a good idea not to travel by bus when going for a longer journey.

A pregnant woman must remember to eat something before getting on the bus.  Also, she must avoid standing in the same position in the bus for a long time during long distance rides as this can make the blood get pulled into the legs leading to dizziness.

If possible find a place to sit and keep changing your leg positions.  Always carry water and some light snacks or biscuits in the bag every now and then during longer rides to avoid fainting. Train journeys are preferable over bus rides for travelling outside the city or for rides longer than an hour or so.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
