Following a healthy diet enriched with fruits, vegetables and exercising regularly is the key to solve heart problems.

Exercise

According to the American Heart Association, at least 30 mins of exercise per day is required. Sedentary lifestyle increases the risk of heart disease to about 80 %.

Diet

It should be rich in fruits, vegetables, legumes and complex carbohydrates. Saturated fat such as coconut, processed meat, fish oils should be avoided.

Minimizing Sugar Intake

A sugar-laden diet may raise the risk of heart disease. According to the American Heart Association, women consume less than 6 teaspoons of sugar per day but men tops by consuming about 9 teaspoons of sugar per day.

No Smoking

Smoking is dangerous for health. Abstaining from it not only prevents heart diseases but also reduces diseases of the lungs and arteries.

Stress Management

Managing stress is critical and it can be done through meditation, breathing, yoga and exercises.

Therefore, by exercising, quitting smoking, managing stress and following a diet rich in fruits, vegetables and low in saturated fats and sugar, risk of developing heart diseases can be prevented.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
