Or if you do have it, than how to be cured of it? Lyme disease is a disease caused by bacteria called spirochetes and is transmitted through common tick insect. In fact Lyme disease is the most common tick disease. This disease is manifested through common fever and circular rash also known as the EM rash. In most cases these rashes occur first, followed by other more serious problems, such as joint problem, central nervous system problems, heart problems etc.

How to diagnosis Lyme disease? Every one may not have fever or such symptoms. Sometimes Lyme disease is diagnosed in the initial blood test while at times one may need to wait till the later tests. Once diagnosed, the disease can be treated with 10 days of antibiotics.

To prevent this disease you must avoid ticks and use tick remover. Also an inspection after you have spend some time outdoor, is advised, so that you can see if there are any ticks on your body. The tick must be feeding on you for at least 24 to 48 hours to give you Lyme disease.
