Few Facts about Ghee that you Might not Know

Ghee is one of the main ingredients of many Ayurvedic medicines, and is being used for at least a few centuries for medicinal purposes. But the quality of ghee that was used in those medicines was quite different from the one we now eat. The way homemade ghee used to be made from pure milk, it created certain food values.

  • When ghee is made out of the yoghurt which is also made in home, it includes a substance called CLA. This CLA is very good for human body, as it protects from a number of diseases such as heart disease, diabetes and even cancer.
  • Ghee is natural oil with all the amino acids that your body needs. Amino acids are good for cognitive function and proper functioning of the brain. Ghee also has anti inflammatory properties and contains a number of anti oxidants.
  • Ghee is an amazing source of saturated fat, which makes good cholesterol and which in turn leads to creation of hormones which are essential for human body. It also helps digestive system. Moreover it helps simulation of fat soluble vitamins.

In light of all these points, it might not be wrong to say there are some positive factors in Ghee, if taken in limited amount.
