Arthritis is generally referred as an inflammation of one or more joints in your body. Arthritis is usually accompanied by joint pain. Joint pain is generally referred as arthralgia. In cases when one or more joints are involved it is referred as polyarthritis and when 2-3 joints are involved it is called oligoarthritis.

Arthritis Symptoms

The common symptoms associated with arthritis include joint pain, stiffness and swelling. In severe cases the range of motion decreases and redness of the skin around the joints is also seen. The symptoms are mostly worst early morning while suffering with arthritis.
During rheumatoid arthritis, you will experience loss of appetite and feel more tired due to the inflammation caused by your own immune system. In few cases people become more anemic as the red blood cell count decreases. Joint deformity is seen when it is left untreated in very rare cases.

Causes of Arthritis

A decrease in the normal amount of cartilage tissue can lead to arthritis. Cartilage is a firm, flexible connective tissue present in your joints. Cartilage generally protects your joints by absorbing pressure and shock when you apply stress on it. Normal wear and tear can also lead to arthritis that is easily preventable and cured.

Alternative Treatment of Arthritis

Arthritis can be managed by making certain holistic modification in your lifestyle. The common lifestyle changes that you can make are:
• Regular morning walk to keep your muscles fit and active
• Include the foods that can reduce inflammation and pain in your body
• Decrease your sugar intake
• Try to maintain a healthy weight
• Exercise regularly
• Meditation or yoga
You can treat arthritis on early diagnosis. Consult your doctor when any symptoms are observed to avoid complications.
