5 Yoga Poses to Reduce Headaches

Do you know that your posture and lack of oxygen might cause headache? Poor posture can have an effect on respiratory system and blood circulation to the brain, which causes muscle tension leading to headache.

Try these postures on daily basis to prevent headaches.

Posture 1:

  • Sit on the ground comfortably
  • Turn from the belly to the right
  • Place your right hand on the floor strongly behind your spine
  • Keep your shoulders down and your chest open
  • Relax your eyes
  • Hold for 10 seconds breathing evenly
  • Return to center & repeat the same procedure on the opposite side

Posture 2:

  • Stand with your feet firmly placed on the floor
  • Clasp your elbow behind to your back
  • Relax your eyes and jock
  • Hold for 10 minutes evenly and release

Posture 3:

  • Stand with your feet strongly placed on the floor
  • Lift your right arm into the air beside your right ear
  • Reach your right hand behind your elbow
  • Place your right hand behind your shoulder blades
  • Bring your left arm behind your back
  • Raise until it clasp your hand
  • Hold for 10 sec breathing evenly
  • Release and repeat on the other side

Posture 4:

  • Wrap your arms around torso hugging yourself
  • Raise your hands up to make your left elbow rest in the right elbow
  • Your hands’ palm should face each other
  • Relax your eyes, joint and shoulder blades
  • Hold for 10 seconds breathing evenly
  • Release and repeat on the other side

Posture 5:

  • Place your feet firmly on the floor
  • Lift your arms beside your head
  • Grab your left wrist with your right hand
  • Gently stretch to your right pulling left hand and wrist with your right hand
  • Hold for 10 seconds breathing evenly
  • Return to the center & repeat on the other side

These five yoga postures will help fix your headache.
